Job Description
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in maintenance repair (e.g. basic electrical plumbing carpentry masonry & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment).
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required
BACKGROUND CHECK NOTICE The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and preemployment drug screening. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicants prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services must complete a mandatory 6 weeks of training. Week 1 is held at CJCF weeks 2 through 4 are held at DYS Training Academy in Orient Ohio Monday through Thursday 7:00 am 5:00 pm. Weeks 5 6 are on the job training held at CJCF.
