AIRPORT ONSHORE CONTROLLER
Academic & Professional qualifications.
Diploma in Air Traffic Control Minimum 5 years of experience. Minimum English language required is Upperintermediate Good command of English to read and write technical documents
Daytoday Operations To carry out helicopter control duties & log all events & timing of takeoff & landings to ensure the safe movement of passengers and helicopters in line with manifests and maintaining radio contact with the Helecopter pilots from Air control Tower to ensure the safe movement of passengers and helicopters during flights
Work on 64 shift system from 6 Am 6 PM in two groups. Maintains radio contact with incoming/ outgoing helicopter by providing them with general information about land facilities and other instructions from supervisor to helicopter pilot in order to maintain safe loading and unloading of passengers
Keeps a log book of all the movements destination flight record and operational statistics of all flights to ensure all activities are recorded for future reference.
Checks and tests aviation communication and navigation equipment to identify present potential troubles in order to prepare maintenance/repair request to supervisor for approval.
Commutates and coordinates with emergency series when an injured person being transported to the onshore hospital to ensure that pilots are provided the required information on air control Provides radio communication and air traffic support for the fixedwing aircrafts using Company's airstrip in order to maintain safe air transport.
