Job Description

Illinois Certified Exceptional Needs Education Instructor

FullTime Work Hours Early Childhood Caseload

As an LSB1 Specialist you will support students with diverse learning needs helping them succeed academically and socially. This role involves collaborating with educators administrators and families to develop and implement tailored IEPs that address each student s unique abilities and challenges.

The position details include designing and implementing IEPs to meet the needs of students with exceptionalities providing targeted instruction and support for diverse learning challenges. Collaborating with general education teachers you will adapt the curriculum to ensure inclusivity and regularly assess student progress to refine teaching strategies. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed records communicating effectively with parents and stakeholders and staying current on best practices through professional development.

Requirements

Previous experience working with students with disabilities is strongly preferred.
Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement.
Candidates must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
