About Role:
The Group Construction Controller will play a key role in driving the financial success of largescale construction projects. This position requires a proactive and detailoriented individual to oversee budgets optimize costs and collaborate with diverse teams across multiple countries to maintain operational excellence. Regular travel across Europe offers the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders contributing to impactful projects in the built environment sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation monitoring and closure of construction budgets ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Collaborate with country controllers project managers and site teams to align financial and operational objectives.
Conduct compliance checks including scope verification and material usage accuracy to maintain financial integrity.
Analyze project earnings using Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations and propose cost optimization strategies.
Support procurement processes by conducting commercial checks and ensuring strong tender compliance.
Assist in implementing ERP systems tailored to construction and controlling processes.
Provide onboarding training and continuous support for new and existing project controllers.
Promote best practices and cost efficiency within project teams across Europe.
Conduct random control checks on budgets and procurement deals to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on cost control budgeting and financial analysis.
Strong understanding of construction processes project lifecycles and financial reporting for largescale projects.
Proficiency in construction management tools ERP systems and financial software.
Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Willingness to travel regularly across Europe as part of the role.
Certifications such as CCP or PMP are advantageous.
A proactive mindset capable of interpreting complex data and presenting actionable insights.
