Camp Counselors
Fort Wonder is seeking qualified applicants to join our 2025 team! If you are a hardworking independent and collaborative group member who is passionate about working with children in an energetic summer camp environment we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the daily management of a single group of campers in a specific age group.
- Provide campers with physical safety and emotional support to create a positive camp experience.
- Lead campers through their daily activities.
- Communicate directly with parents of campers in their group as needed.
- Commitment to summer schedule as follows:
- May 2730 8:00 AM4:00 PM: Camp Training with a 30minute lunch break daily
- June 2 July 18 8:00AM4:00 PM: Signature Camps Monday through Friday with a 30minute lunch break daily (No camps on June 19 or the week of June 30July 4
- Pay Range: $15 per hour
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Demonstrated experience working with children
- Candidates 18 and over must pass a criminal background check
- Positive verification of references
Physical demands:
- Must be able to push pull carry and lift up to 50 pounds
- Will spend significant portions of the day walking or standing
- Subject to outside environmental conditions
