Mobius is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer (MSE) capable of executing engineering tasks associated with supporting Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises with designing building and running modeling and simulations of ballistic missile defense systems and ballistic missile threats. The Engineer will execute planning configuring monitoring and implementation of Missile Defense System (MDS) parameters into simulation software such as Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASIM) and Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) to support distributive virtual and constructive exercises modeling BMD systems and ballistic missile threats.
Duties of a MSE may include:
- Support the technical lead in all aspects of MDS Wargames and Exercises modeling and simulation.
- Conduct System Engineering Integration and Test (SEI&T) element pretest coordination event pre and postmission testing.
- Responsibilities range from conducting weekly planning meetings and technical activities involving diverse network and architecture configurations.
- Configure and conduct onconsole support on designated modeling and simulation workstations that support CCMD and MDA BMD exercises.
- Assist with identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- 7 years relevant experience
- Experience with DoD Wargames and Exercises
- Familiarity with the DoD Joint Event Life Cycle process
- Familiarity with MDASIM Open Systems Sensor Models (OSM) EADSIM or other M&S software
- Software development experience desired
- Must be a selfstarter able to multitask in a dynamic fastpaced environment
- Ability to configure and operate Windows and LINUX workstations
- Experience in DoD test processes and/or test desired
- Able to support alternative shifts on a periodic basis to execute exercises and wargames for combatant commands in theaters outside North America
- Able to travel 10
Education
- BS in an engineering or computer science field
- CompTIA Security desired
Clearance
- Secret clearance required
