Barrons one of the leading financial and investing publications in the U.S. is seeking a highenergy reporter who can insightfully cover breaking business news and knows the U.S. market well. The role is part of the Barrons trending news team which eschews commodity stories in favor of delivering analysisor an interesting angleabout the news in the timeframe readers are searching to understand news events. The reporter will have the opportunity to write longer reportedout features and analytical pieces so some experience of this would be an advantage. Barrons values teamwork so a collaborative approach is required. This role is hybrid 3 days in office at our 1211 Ave of Americas headquarters.
Track breaking news of publicly traded companies financial markets and other subjects of interest to Barrons readers
Generate analysis and angles on the days biggest stories
Write quickly and cleanly under tight deadlines
At least 3 years of experience working as a reporter at a national or trade business news publication.
The ability to write cleanly and quickly on a tight deadline
The capability to offer insights into the biggest stories of each day using FAQs charts and other newsyoucanuse story forms.
Passionate about markets and finance energized by breaking news
Relentlessly committed to factual accuracy
