Position Summary:
The Cybersecurity Process Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and enhancing business processes to ensure they are secure and efficient. This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process documentation. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison to project managers ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all projects and will conduct security quality assurance testing for business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze business processes to identify and mitigate security risks.
Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring it aligns with cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements.
Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to optimize business processes and enhance security measures.
Serve as a key liaison to project managers ensuring that security considerations are integrated into project planning and .
Conduct security quality assurance testing business applications identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements or continuity due to upgrade and enhancements.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity and process optimization.
Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends threats and technologies to ensure the organizations processes remain secure.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management summarizing process analysis findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science Business Info Systems or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity process engineering or a related role.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks standards and best practices (e.g. SCF NYDFS NIST ISO 27001 CIS Controls).
Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement tools.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Relevant certifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar are highly desirable but not required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a similar role within financial services/insurance or support technologies and engineering.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the organization.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
