Job Description
Portledge School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced STEM Teacher to inspire and guide students in rising Kindergarten through 5th grade this upcoming summer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young learners and a strong foundation in a variety of STEM disciplines including but not limited to science technology engineering and mathematics.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education STEM or a related field (preferred); Teaching Certification (preferred)
Experience working with young children in a STEM or inquirybased learning environment
Ability to foster a growth mindset in students through handson engaging lessons that spark curiosity and problemsolving
Strong communication skills with the ability to make complex concepts accessible and fun for young learners
Ability to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity exploration and teamwork
Physical ability to walk stand and engage actively with students for extended periods as well as lift up to 30 lbs as needed

Schedule:
Available MondayFriday from 8:45am3:15pm June 30August 8

Compensation:
Starting at $800 per week with higher rates available based on experience.
