partner staffing on behalf of ourClient we are seeking a highlyexperienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical designand implementation for commercial industrial residential and institutionalbuilding projects across Alberta. The successful candidate will bring extensiveexpertise in electrical systems design project management and clientcollaboration. This role involves mentoring junior engineers ensuringcompliance with Alberta Building Codes and delivering sustainableenergyefficient solutions for mixeduse and commercial properties.



Requirements


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electricaldesign process for commercial building projects including lighting powerdistribution fire alarms and communication systems.
  • Collaborate witharchitects mechanical engineers and construction teams to ensure seamlessintegration of electrical systems.
  • Review and approvesingleline diagrams (SLDs) panel schedules and load calculations.
  • Develop and overseeconstruction documentation including detailed electrical layoutsspecifications and material selection.
  • Ensure compliance withthe Alberta Building Code CSA standards and other relevant regulatoryrequirements.
  • Manage project timelinesbudgets and resource allocation while maintaining highquality standards.
  • Conduct site visits toassess project progress and troubleshoot issues during construction andcommissioning phases.
  • Mentor and support juniorengineers and EITs providing technical guidance and professional developmentopportunities.
  • Drive innovation byintegrating energyefficient designs and renewable energy systems intoprojects.
  • Maintain strongrelationships with clients addressing project needs and ensuring customersatisfaction.

Qualifications andExperience:

  • Bachelors degree inElectrical Engineering; P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility forregistration.
  • Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in electrical engineering with a focus on commercial buildingprojects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCADRevit and electrical modeling software.
  • Deep knowledge of AlbertaBuilding Codes CSA standards and energy codes.
  • Demonstrated expertise indesigning lighting systems power distribution networks and buildingautomation.
  • Experience with greenbuilding certifications (LEED WELL etc. is an asset.
  • Strong project managementskills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communicationand technical writing skills.
