An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Band 7 or 8a Clinical Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS clients dynamic team in Maidstone Kent. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a shortterm contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.
What will your responsibilities be
You will have opportunity for direct one to one and group based therapeutic work with women experiencing a wide range of mental health problems often relating to complex trauma or attachment difficulties. You will also have opportunity for indirect working supervision consultation and training to both colleagues and the wider maternity system. The service is also seeking to develop psychological interventions across multiple pathways and you will be invited to contribute to innovative service development.
We are keen to recruit people who enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and who are creative adaptable and responsive to the needs of the service. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with women and their families and whose values and principles are aligned with the organisation including compassion and a person/ familycentred focus. There is opportunity for professional development with additional training being actively encouraged. We also have good links with the local Clinical Psychology Doctoral courses.
