Description
The resources will be working on backend integration web service and API testing.
- Plan document and execute both manual and automated API test cases for:
connectivity/regression testing specific to the rollout of the new API gateway platform for the Ontario Business Registry
application regression/functional testing specific to new OBR ReSTbased web services
- Fulfill the role of subject matter expert for issues and questions pertaining to configuration access and functionality of web services (APIs) in the OBR application
- Support and guide internal/external Ministry partners in their integration and testing activities related to the new API gateway platform and the rollout of ReSTbased APIs
Requirements
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Expert testing experience with SOAP/ReSTbased APIs:
510 years expert experience in scripting executing and maintaining automated API/web service tests using:
thirdparty tools such as ReadyAPI SoapUI and Postman
design/coding techniques such as schema validation parameter passing and Groovy scripting
Technical skills with required API testing toolset:
510 years of design/coding techniques such as schema validation parameter passing and Groovy scripting
510 years Handson testing experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server Oracle structured SQLbased query languages and IBM API Connect platform.
Handson experience using HP ALM JIRA and other test/defect management tools.
Expert QA testing experience in an ntier Java EE env.:
Expert QA testing experience (functional and nonfunctional) of SOAPbased and ReSTbased transactional web services in an ntier Java EE server environment ideally in the context of occupational and/or business registry systems
Communication & relationship mgmt. skills:
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to document complex test plans/cases for technical systems clearly and perform knowledge transfer effectively to fulltime technical staff.
Good understanding of systems environments business analysis and change management.
Proven ability to prioritize and parallelize assigned tasks to achieve milestones within tight deadlines.
Must Haves:
