We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing largescale projects preferably World Bankfunded water projects. The ideal candidate must have deep knowledge of World Bank project ensuring compliance with international standards and best practices. This role requires a technologically savvy professional with excellent communication skills capable of leading complex projects while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The position demands frequent travel across Nigeria to oversee project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning &
Lead the planning and delivery of water infrastructure projects ensuring adherence to World Bank guidelines and requirements.
Develop detailed project plans including timelines milestones and resource allocation.
Manage project risks budgets and scope while ensuring deliverables are met.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Liaise with government agencies funding partners contractors and local communities to facilitate seamless project .
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international best practices.
Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders addressing any project challenges.
Budget & Resource Management
Oversee project budgets ensuring financial discipline and alignment with funding requirements.
Optimize the use of resources personnel and technology for maximum efficiency.
Technology & Innovation
Leverage the latest project management and water technology innovations for improved project .
Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance project tracking reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Travel & Field Oversight
Conduct site visits nationwide to oversee project progress and resolve onground challenges.
Ensure effective communication between field teams and central management.
Qualifications
5 to 10 years of experience in project management preferably in water infrastructure projects.
Proven experience with World Bank project is mandatory.
Bachelors or Master s degree in Project Management Engineering Environmental Science or a related field.
PMP PRINCE2 or other relevant project management certifications are an added advantage.
Strong understanding of the latest technologies in project and water infrastructure.
Exceptional communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Must be willing and able to travel extensively across the country.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing donorfunded projects.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in the water sector.
Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
