Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced RCM trainer with 57 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions of the billing and coding departments to maximize cash flow while improving patient physician and other customer relations. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and implements best practices to enhance the efficiency of the revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design and implement RCM training programs tailored to the needs of staff at all levels.
- Train employees on key areas of the revenue cycle Accounts Receivables Insurance Follow up Appeals Denial Management etc.
- Create and maintain training materials manuals presentations and elearning modules.
- Assess current training needs by collaborating with department leaders and conducting regular skills assessments.
- Deliver training sessions for new hires and existing employees.
- Monitor the progress of trainees and provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance performance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust content to meet evolving industry standards and organizational needs.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and regulations in the healthcare industry including compliance and coding changes (e.g. ICD10 CPT HCPCS codes).
- Ensure all training programs align with company objectives and improve employee proficiency productivity and overall quality of work.
- Collaborate with Quality Team to identify TNA (Training Need Analysis) and conduct Refresher sessions and Top Error Trends.
- Track training results and maintain records of attendance assessments and certifications.
Skills & Competencies:
- Indepth knowledge of RCM processes including medical coding billing reimbursement procedures payer policies and regulations (e.g. HIPAA).
- Ability to assess learning needs evaluate program effectiveness and provide feedback to improve employee performance.
- Familiarity with various healthcare management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to assess and identify training gaps.
- Ability to adapt training styles to different learning preferences and skill levels.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills and the ability to manage challenges within a training environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Proven experience as a trainer or educator with a solid track record of developing and delivering training programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in healthcare management business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management within the healthcare industry.
- Certification in Medical Billing or Coding (e.g. CPC CCS or equivalent) is preferred
