Job Title: Assistant Professor of Education Department: Education Reports to: Chair EDU Type: Fulltime/Regular Salary: Per CBA Application Deadline: Open Until Filled FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt Job Summary: Lincoln Universitys Department of Education invites applications for a fulltime Assistant Professor for the Masters in Special Education (SPED) program housed at the School of Adult and Continuing Education (SACE) in Philadelphia PA. This is a tenuretrack position and may involve teaching inperson hybrid and remotely. The successful candidate will teach courses to graduate students conduct research and provide service to the University. Applicants should possess and be able to demonstrate skills qualities and values related to positive applications of diversity equity and empowerment and versed in the Culturally Relevant and Sustaining Education (CRSE) competencies. Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: An earned doctorate in Special Education or a closely related field Certification in Special Education Demonstrated commitment to and expertise and experience in equity and social justiceoriented pedagogical approaches to teaching and advising Demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate courses in education Experience teaching online or in blended/hybrid formats using an array of learning technologies and platforms (e.g. Moodle Canvas Blackboard) Experience with collaborative program development and design Ability to teach the student teaching practicum course in the evening and supervise student teachers in their classrooms during the day. In addition preferred qualifications include the following: Certification in Early Childhood Education Elementary Education Educational Leadership or English as a Second Language (ESL) Experience in mentoring graduate students from historically marginalized communities.
