The next iteration of our integrated approach relates to the planned export of our natural gas to markets in growing economies overseas. To achieve this aim PCE will supply B.C.s proposed Woodfibre LNG project which will liquefy the natural gas and load it into vessels. The liquefied natural gas will be shipped tointernational markets to help supply the energy the world needs.

THE POSITION

We are seeking a Contract Senior Financial Reporting Analyst 18month family leave position) to become a key member of the Pacific Canbriam Financial Reporting team. Supporting analytical financial and operating accounting activities across the company the successful individual will bring their professionalism energy and enthusiasm to deliver excellent results in a fast paced fluid and demanding work environment.

This role is based in the corporate office in Calgary and will report into the Lead Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the financial reporting team through the preparation and/or review of period end accounting entries including capital and operating accruals depletion depreciation and amortization hedging accretion decommissioning obligation etc.
• Balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis
• Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reporting
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of the financial statement audit
• Ability to analyze and interpret IFRS accounting standards and ensure transactions and journal entries are in compliance with IFRS
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects for the accounting and finance teams as required including supporting the forecasting and budgeting process

• Possess a keen attention to detail and not mind performing repeated and routine tasks
• Have a positive attitude and desire to contribute to a high performing team

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field such as business accounting or finance
• CPA designation

• Three to five years of oil & gas industry experience preferably in the Upstream sector
• Qbyte experience along with strong systems knowledge (this is an asset but not required)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
