What you get to do:
Assist park management with ongoing updates regarding their financial forecasts and budgets concerning each department revenue & operating expenses.
Perform trend analysis on key metrics and conduct analysis on that data to help strategically enhance sales or reduce operating expenses.
Provide insight into industry trends affecting assigned areas of responsibility.
Analyze and query data using SAP Business Objectives software in addition to Excel.
Establish price points for products through analysis and compile Return on Investment analysis for future revenue generating projects.
Provide key support during the budgeting process.
Provide daily weekly and monthly profit/loss and operating expense recaps for distribution.
Analyze park operating expense variances and trends to identify reasons for current variances and help project future levels of spending.
Identify and recommend cost of sales saving and efficiency improvements. (Waste inventory levels overlapping purchases)
Prepare financial recaps of park special events such as Food & Wine Festival Howl O Scream and Mardi Gras.
Review individual InPark Revenue (IPR) cost center profit/loss metrics including Cost of Sale levels.
Monitor IPR and Maintenance inventory usage levels and procedures by performing routine audits of each to ensure all company processes are being followed.
Conduct routine inpark research and share findings related to revenue growth opportunities and operating expense efficiency to management.
Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.
What it takes to succeed:
Be at least 18 years old
Have a Bachelors degree in Finance or related field or 2 years of theme park finance experience in lieu of degree
Be able to maintain confidentiality and a high level of discretion
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong proofreading skills
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically Outlook Word Excel OneNote Publisher and PowerPoint
Be comfortable learning internal reporting systems
Be available to work varying shifts or hours based on business needs i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts some weekends
