SENCO HighAchieving Secondary School Reading ASAP Start
Location: Reading
Contract: FullTime Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS SEN Allowance

Your Role as SENCO:
- Lead the schools SEND strategy and oversee all SEND provision
- Work closely with students staff and parents to develop individual support plans
- Ensure compliance with SEND policies and statutory requirements
- Provide professional guidance and training for teachers and support staff
- Manage and coordinate a team of SEN professionals including teaching assistants and learning mentors
- Liaise with external agencies including Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to support learning and development
Who Were Looking For:
- A qualified SENCO (or a teacher currently working towards the SENCO qualification)
- A deep understanding of SEND policies legislation and best practices
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
- A proactive and compassionate approach to inclusive education
