Job Description
Archbishop Curley High School invites applications for the position of Football Head Coach for the 2025-2026 academic year. Located in Baltimore Archbishop Curley High School is a Roman Catholic college preparatory school rooted in the Franciscan tradition and dedicated to the development of the Curley Man who is challenged to reach his maximum academic and personal potential leading him to be a man of faith character discipline and service to others.
The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director. The candidate is expected to provide the necessary leadership and knowledge to help plan organize and help be responsible for a comprehensive interscholastic football program and to carry out the objectives of the athletic department and Archbishop Curley High School. Qualified candidates should possess strong communication organizational motivational and coaching skills. The individual should be a person of high character and values that will set a positive example for all students at Archbishop Curley High School.
Essential Functions
- Create and execute instructional practice plans.
- Execute strength and conditioning plans.
- Develop student-athlete competence and confidence.
- Enforce team policies beliefs philosophies in sportsmanship integrity accountability and perseverance.
- Some administrative work: Managing and tracking rosters tournament registrations monitoring attendance confirming transportation inventory management and web-site management.
Position Qualifications
- Previous coaching and Football experience at the high school/college level 3-5 years
- High-level organizational and communications skills
- Flexible professional schedule to handle practices games or tournaments
- A desire to promote and be committed to the mission of the school.
- A strong desire to develop student-athletes by improving their athletic abilities and supporting their academic aspirations.
Range: $Annualized
