Job Description
Join Axpo as Head of Climate Certificates & Bulk Trading and lead a highperforming team in the rapidly evolving carbon and fuels market. Take financial proprietary positions develop global models and expand trading activities regionally while driving innovation in lowcarbon fuel trading.
What you will do:
- Take proprietary trading positions in coal carbon climate certificates and fuels.
- Lead and integrate a team of traders and analysts fostering knowledge transfer.
- Develop inhouse global models and enhance fundamental market forecasting.
- Expand trading activities into new regions (Asia US) and related products (freight currencies).
- Provide market access to other trading desks for hedging purposes.
- Support the integration of analytics with power and gas models.
What you bring & who you are:
- Masters or PhD in business or natural sciences.
- Several years of experience in a trading role within a bank trading house fund or utility.
- Proven track record of strong PnL performance.
- Expertise in European emissions markets (compliance & voluntary).
- Strong modeling and forecasting skills with experience managing traders or analysts.
- Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
