Location: Nashville TN (Hybrid)
We are seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join a dynamic and employeefocused engineering firm in Nashville TN. This firm fosters career development and offers opportunities to work on highimpact projects across various industries.
About the Role:
As a Commissioning Specialist you will take on projects of all sizes working independently on smaller assignments while receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced Project Managers and Commissioning Agents on more complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing commissioning plans
- Conducting design reviews
- Preparing job progress reports
- Performing prefunctional and functional performance testing
- Managing project closeout and final report creation
This role provides handson experience from design review through functional testing with a structured career path and training at all levels.
Qualifications You’ll Need:
- 5 years of experience in MEP design construction administration commissioning building operations test and balance DDC controls or a related field
- Knowledge of building codes construction procurement and design development processes
- Commissioning certification (e.g. ACG CxT CxA) preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- LEED accreditation is a plus
- Proficiency with hardware/software/network systems as appropriate
- Willingness to travel as needed
Technical Knowledge in One or More of the Following Areas is Preferred:
- Building automation and controls systems
- HVAC and plumbing systems
- Fire alarm/life safety systems
- Lighting and lighting controls
- Emergency power and lowvoltage systems
- Renewable energy systems
