Personne qui partir des programmes g n raux tablis labore des programmes sp cifiques d ducation et de pr vention en mati re dhygi ne dentaire. Elle collabore aux diff rents programmes de d pistage. Elle peut assister le ou la dentiste dans lexercice de ses fonctions. Elle applique et enseigne en mati re de pr vention et de soins dentaires les techniques dhygi ne dentaire. Elle voit lapplication topique des agents anticariog nes. Elle proc de au nettoyage au d tartrage et au polissage des dents effectue lexamen oral pr liminaire et lanamn se. Elle place sculpte et finit les restaurations et prend les impressions pour mod les d tude. Elle tient linventaire et fait les commandes de fournitures dentaires. Doit d tenir un dipl me d tudes coll giales (DEC) en techniques d hygi ne dentaire dune cole reconnue par le minist re comp tent. Doit tre membre de lOrdre professionnel des hygi nistes dentaires du Qu bec.

She can assist the dentist in the exercise of his or her duties. She applies and teaches dental prevention and care dental hygiene techniques. She sees to the topical application of anticariogenic agents. She cleans scales and polishes the teeth performs the preliminary oral examination and takes the history. She places sculpts and finishes the restorations and takes the impressions as study models. She maintains the inventory and orders dental supplies. Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in dental hygiene techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry. Must be a member of the Professional order of dental hygienists of Quebec.
