Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a GL Accountant to manage and maintain the prepaid expenses accounting process with accuracy and compliance. This role will be responsible for ensuring proper amortization reconciliation and reporting of prepaid expenses while working closely with crossfunctional teams to drive efficiencies and process improvements in a fastpaced environment.
Your Impact
- Track and maintain prepaid expenses ensuring proper amortization and expense recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
- Prepare journal entries for prepaid transactions and ensure accurate postings to the general ledger.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of prepaid accounts in Blackline and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with FP&A Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to ensure correct classification of prepaid expenses.
- Support monthend and quarterend close activities including variance analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and company accounting policies.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of prepaid expense accounting.
Qualifications :
Your Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in prepaid accounting general ledger accounting or financial reporting in a large US MNC.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial controls.
- Experience in SAP (or other large ERP systems) is a plus.
- Proficiency with Blackline or other reconciliation tools is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask prioritize deadlines and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
