Who: Were looking for Junior Backend Developers with a background in development
Where: Remote sessions will be conducted on the premises of Cognizant Netcentric Hubs at Bucharest Barcelona and Vigo uniting all teams during the course of the Academy.
When: The Cognizant Netcentric Academy training program takes place starting May 30th 2025 and lasts 5 weeks.
The Cognizant Netcentric Academy training program ensures our new Junior Developers hit the ground running. From day one you will be signed on as part of the Cognizant Netcentric team and will get the right training to contribute to projects.

Skills and Experience
These are some of the skills and tools we use in our daytoday job:
- Background in programming. Particularly Object Oriented Languages (Java)
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of Functional Programming is appreciated
Knowledge of some of the following software engineering topics:
- Design patterns
- Software Development Processes
- Unit & Integration testing
Understanding of Webrelated technologies like:
- The HTTP Protocol
- REST services
- Web Backend development (e.g. Spring Servlets etc)
Experience with Development tools
- Version Control Software (i.e. Git)
- Build automation tools (e.g. Maven Gradle Cargo)
- Project Management and collaboration tools are appreciated but not required (e.g. Jira Github)
Knowledge of Cloud development is appreciated but not required:
- Microservices
- Amazon Web Services Microsoft Azure
- Edge Computing
What Personal skills do we require

Working experience
We are looking for people with around 1 to 2 years of working experience.
