Job Description

One of our clients is seeking an experienced Business System Analyst 4 to support the implementation of an Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution. The ideal candidate must have clinical healthcare experience an understanding of EHR best practices and expertise in business systems analysis and integration.

This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare IT standards such as HL7 CDA and FHIR as well as the ability to translate clinical workflows into system requirements. The analyst will collaborate with IT and healthcare professionals to ensure successful implementation and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EHR program implementation ensuring clinical workflows are effectively captured and integrated into the system.
  • Work closely with clinical staff IT teams and stakeholders to define and document Health IT requirements.
  • Analyze and map clinical workflows policies and procedures to ensure system alignment with industry best practices.
  • Perform requirements elicitation documentation tracking and analysis to support EHR implementation.
  • Conduct systems and integration testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate functionality.
  • Contribute to project planning system design testing and deployment ensuring compliance with VITA project management standards.
  • Implement downtime readiness procedures and establish system monitoring for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead workgroups and stakeholder meetings to drive collaboration and system adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare IT security standards.
  • Define and track schedules milestones and metrics for project success.


Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4 years of experience in Requirements Elicitation Documentation Analysis and Tracking.
  • 4 years of experience in Systems/Integration/UAT Testing including planning resolution and reporting.
  • 4 years of experience in Process & Workflow Analysis including workflow diagramming (Visio) use case documentation and policy/procedure analysis.
  • 3 years of experience in large system implementations particularly with complex EHR or healthcarerelated solutions.
  • 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office/365 tools.
  • 4 years of experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • 4 years of strong verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3 years of experience leading workgroups to facilitate system implementations.
  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting working directly with clinical staff and understanding HIPAA regulations.
  • 2 years of experience with VITA project standards/requirements.
  • 3 years of experience in defining project schedules milestones and metrics.
