Job Summary
As our Development Manager you will develop solar BESS and hybrid projects from concept to ReadyToBuild. Working holistically you will collaborate with stakeholders to secure the agreements and approvals required for a successful project outcome. The Development Manager will join existing project teams and support on the origination of new sites with a focus on grid issues. Key Responsibilities
- Perform desktop assessments of new green field solarBESS and hybrid opportunities including land management planning and grid
- Supporting on the development activities for existing projects in NSW VIC and TAS
- Coordinate the required resources on the grid connection to secure bankable connection agreements
- Provide strategic input advice and support to Development team on grid connection and potential risks to project feasibility
- Manage internal and external planning and engineering resources to prepare submit and obtain development approvals in a concept to ReadyToBuild approach
- Build relationships with landowners to secure new project sites and maintain all necessary contracts and agreements
- Establish and maintain development budgets and schedules where necessary prioritising resources across the development portfolio
Qualifications :
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong background in renewable energy project development in Australia with a focus on land acquisitionplanning and/or grid connection
- Understanding of power system and electrical engineering concepts with knowledge in grid connection studies and power system models
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Great understanding of prioritisation of project deliverables and driving successes across a project pipeline
- Based in Sydney or Melbourne
