SQL Database Administrator (DBA) Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our organizations databases ensuring optimal performance security and availability. The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL Server administration database tuning backup and recovery and security management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install configure and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
• Implement and manage database security including user access controls.
• Perform regular database backups disaster recovery planning and .
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
• Design develop and maintain database schemas stored procedures and scripts.
• Ensure high availability and business continuity of database systems.
• Automate routine database maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with developers system administrators and business analysts.
• Document database configurations processes and best practices.

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience: 58 years of experience as an SQL DBA.
• Proficiency in SQL Server TSQL SSMS and performance tuning.
• Experience with database backup recovery and highavailability solutions (Always On Clustering Replication Mirroring).
• Knowledge of cloud databases (Azure SQL AWS RDS) is a plus.
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
