Job Description
The ideal candidate should possess advanced skills and expertise in the following areas:
AWS Networking Expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of VPC design and management including multiVPC architectures VPC peering and Transit Gateway configurations.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routing tables NAT gateways Internet Gateways and private link services.
- Deep understanding of network security practices including Security Groups Network ACLs
- Ability to design scalable highly available network solutions across multiple AWS regions and availability zones.
Terraform Knowledge
- Handson experience in using Terraform for creating and managing AWS networking components such as VPCs subnets Route 53 and network ACLs.
- Skilled in writing reusable parameterized modules for complex network configurations.
- Ability to integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines to automate network infrastructure deployments.
- Proficiency in refactoring and optimizing existing network Terraform code to improve efficiency and maintainability.
GitHub Actions Knowledge
- Expertise in designing and templating reusable GitHub Action workflows for automation across projects.
- Proven ability to integrate GitHub Actions with Terraform workflows to deploy resources in AWS.
- Experience in optimizing workflows for efficiency including caching and template builds.
Route 53 and DNS Management
- Expertise in managing Route 53 including configuring hosted zones DNS failover health checks and record sets.
- Expertise in managing load balancers.
- Knowledge of DNS configurations
Monitoring and Optimization
- Proficiency in using CloudWatch VPC Flow Logs and AWS Network Firewall to monitor and troubleshoot network performance and security.
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing network latency bandwidth utilization and overall performance.
Advanced Skills
- Strong understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 networking in AWS environments.
- Experience with designing crossregion networking solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Proficiency in implementing network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone and Control Tower for multiaccount networking setups.
This role demands a more seniorlevel professional with a record of designing implementing and managing complex AWS network infrastructures.
