McDonalds has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader.  To make this happen we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonalds to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities processes solutions and ways of working to create One McDonalds Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.

This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the IT (Information Technology) Sourcing Lead. This role is a critical leadership position and will own the endtoend global IT Sourcing capability supporting McDonalds in its journey to becoming a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader.

Reporting to the VP of Indirect Sourcing and Procurement the role is responsible for development of the global IT sourcing strategy focused on maximizing McDonalds investments via bestinclass sourcing across IT Services Software Hardware and Telecom. It is expected that this role works closely with global executive stakeholders to understand their requirements provide recommendations and drive innovation to ultimately propel the business forward.

Key responsibilities will include setting the Sourcing team strategy roadmap goals and metrics leading the team in developing and socializing strategic category plans developing and managing relationships with key vendors serving as an ambassador for the Indirect Sourcing & Procurement team and identifying team training and growth opportunities to elevate bestinclass status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for subcategories within IT: Services Software Hardware and Telecom ensuring alignment with the broader business goals and objectives of McDonalds.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Competitively source through engagement of strategic suppliers (i.e. RFx) and application of industry knowledge. Ensure all sourcing projects have clear objectives including financial and operational benefits aligned with business stakeholders
  • Team Support & Development: Guide and mentor a highperforming sourcing team setting clear goals providing development opportunities and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to understand business needs and create tailored sourcing strategies that deliver value across the McDonalds global organization.
  • Category Leadership Support: Lead the development and of strategic category plans identifying opportunities for cost savings risk mitigation and process optimization within the subcategories.
  • Savings Identification & Tracking: Accountable for driving annual savings within the category through leveraging market intelligence analysis. Includes the identification of savings opportunities & valuation and ongoing monitoring / reporting of saving initiatives (e.g. by vendor / category)
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Support negotiations to ensure favorable contract terms that meet business requirements and assist with the of complex agreements and SLAs.
  • Drive Innovation: Contribute to sourcing initiatives that drive innovation cost savings and operational efficiency in line with the companys broader business strategies.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Partner with Enterprise teams to ensure sourcing strategies and supplier relationships align with McDonalds compliance requirements and risk management frameworks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement efforts evaluating sourcing processes performance metrics and benchmarks to optimize sourcing outcomes.
  • Performance Motivation: Assist in identifying training needs and growth opportunities within the team ensuring the development of future sourcing leaders and building a bestinclass function.

The expected salary range for this role is $193610 $251690 per year

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 4year degree MBA preferred
  • 10 years of relevant experience in IT sourcing in a highly complex environment in a Global landscape
  • 5 years experience leading teams and managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrated exceptional business partnering capabilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently taking initiative to drive projects and achieve goals and identify and action opportunities
  • Skills: Strategic Thinking Executive Presence / Communications Stakeholder Management Vendor Management Advanced Sourcing Contracting Knowledge Mentoring and Coaching Project Management Financial Acumen & Cost Optimization
