The Gig
Were searching for a Financial Accountant to join our team on a 12month maximum term contract supporting our Finance Manager and CFO with daytoday accounting tasks including monthend reconciliation and assistance with preparing monthly and year end financial statements. Collaborate closely with our finance team on adhoc analysis and reporting to drive informed decisionmaking in our growing business while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements during external audits.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthend and yearend close process including balance sheet profit & loss reconciliations and consolidation workings
- Prepare weekly cash flow reports and forecasts
- Review accounts payable payments and employee calculations including payroll accruals
- Manage fixed asset register R&D timesheet records and provide finance team training and backup support
- Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting requirements tax return workings and BAS returns
- Assist senior leaders with financial analysis budgets forecasts and adhoc finance tasks
- Support external auditors and evaluate financial processes and systems.
About You

- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field
- CA or CPA qualified or almost at completion
- Experience in financial accounting or related roles (eg.. audit). In particular demonstrated expertise in financial reporting analysis and compliance with accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with extracting and manipulating data stored in relational databases (for example through the use of SQL) will be viewed favourably
- Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams
