Job Description

Key duties include coordinating shipments preparing shipping documentation and working closely with internal teams to resolve any issues related to logistics or orders. The role requires attention to detail excellent organisational skills and proficiency in managing both domestic and international shipping processes. The Shipping Coordinator will also liaise with couriers track shipments and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Effective communication and problemsolving skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track shipments for import/export ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers clients and service providers to manage logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with local/international laws VAT and customs regulations.
  • Manage documentation including customs declarations and bills of lading.
  • Negotiate freight rates and oversee supplier services.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments tariffs and duties.
  • Assist with spares processing shipping and customer issue resolution.
  • Organize pallets contractors and shipping plans.
  • Enforce Product Liability Standards and Health & Safety guidelines.

This is a fixedterm contract covering maternity until April next year


Qualifications :

Knowledge Skills and Experience required

  • Experience with working within the Shipping environment (including Importing and exporting)
  • Experience working in customer service and inputting data.
  • Knowledge in the field of mechanical / electrical engineering advantageous.
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated competence in organisational skills.
  • Efficient in MS Office (particularly word and excel).
  • Ability to engage and influence both internally and with the customer.
  • Excellent prioritisation and workload management of self and others
  • Willing to take responsibility and make decisions confidently.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Autonomous resilient & resourceful approach with a positive can do attitude.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
