SNV has a longstanding presence in Indonesia where its country team implements programs supported by international donors and privatesector collaborations. Currently the portfolio showcases our efforts in the agrifood and water sectors. This includes promoting sustainable agricultural and developing deforestationfree supply chains enhancing sustainable and regenerative agriculture fostering institutional business development and improving financial literacy among farmers of all genders. We also focus on strengthening equitable water resource management capacities ensuring sustainable and inclusive irrigation promoting climateresilient rural WASH services and supporting sustainable urban water cycles. Country Director Indonesia
SNV seeks a handson entrepreneurial resultsoriented people centric director to lead the Indonesian country team in delivering high impact programs. You are a champion on SNV culture representing our values and encouraging a team culture of learning creativity and innovation.
This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader with a focus on developing and strengthening country operations through highquality program delivery as well as further developing SNVs position and opportunities with investors and partners alike. In this role you are further developing the country program portfolio in an interesting and at times challenging development context.
The Country Director is responsible for leading and enabling the country program and overseeing the successful implementation of all projects within the country through their team and local implementation partners.
This position strongly emphasizes privatepublic cooperation working with an extended partner base and further developing our SNV localisation signature. It also has a clear vision of alternative revenue streams for NGO.
The current EUR 3.5 5 million per annum program portfolio includes support from various funding organisations from public to private partners. The Country Director leads coaches and supports their country management team (CMT) and inspires over 40 members.
The Country Director is a key member of SNVs global senior leadership team making meaningful contributions across the wider organisation to further shape and enable the future of SNV.
Your role
The Country Director is responsible for leading and enabling the country program with and through their team and local implementation partners. It is a multifaceted role focused on upscaling and strategically strengthening the country position with an ambitious country strategy ensuring highquality delivery of operations and securing adequate funding to sustain and grow opportunities to deliver impact. The Country Director needs to be well informed about national and international development priorities and steer the sectors and themes in response to these priorities. The Country Director is expected to forge partnerships and alliances between SNV and important national and international actors and stimulate collaboration for impact. She/he will be the face of SNV in the country and ensure our positive image and visibility.

Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five years of relevant senior leadership experience at an endresponsible level in Indonesia. We expect you to be a strong people leader with an understanding and curiosity about diversity and inclusion. You thrive in an environment where evidencebuilding is required and you engender passion for motivating others. You have experience in cooperation with governments private sector organisations and partners donor relations and actors in SNVs three sectors and core thematic areas.
You have strong business acumen accompanied by demonstrated business development experience in climaterelated issues innovative financing and privatesector engagement. You have developed a vision on alternative revenue streams for NGO in Indonesia and have experience with funding from multilateral development agencies and donors private sectors or foundations.
You have a proven track record in portfolio management in a complex stakeholder field and a solid understanding of country operations and its related procedures and processes.
Your role model successful resource mobilisation including strong networking and positioning skills at multiple levels. Your peoplecentric focus allows you to mobilise teams against strategy.
You are able to coach lead stimulate and inspire professionals in a development context. Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
