Job Description
As an Associate Manager for Communications you will play a critical role in creating and supporting the conceptualisation and of Carousell Groups Consumer PR campaigns for the Carousell brand as well as advising and supporting our Groups family of brands consumer PR efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that drive engagement and build trust with our key stakeholders including the media users and employees. With your expertise in communication and media relations you will have the opportunity to shape the communication strategies for the Group and make a significant impact on our success. In this role you will be
- Identifying and implementing consumer PR strategies for Carousell in our key 6 markets
- Advising and supporting implementation of consumer PR strategies for other Group brands (e.g. Mudah REFASH) efforts in any of our key 7 markets
- Acting as a primary point of contact for media queries including responding to inquiries coordinating interviews and managing media relationships
- Monitoring and analysing media coverage to identify emerging trends potential risks and opportunities for the company.
- Drafting and distributing press releases media alerts and other communication materials to targeted media outlets.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels.
- Managing daytoday incidents and crisis communications in partnership with the Comms team and senior leaders
- Track and report on key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Stay uptodate with industry trends emerging communication technologies and best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of communication efforts
- Providing support for special projects and events as needed
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in communication journalism public relations or related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in corporate communication public relations or media relations.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing media relationships crisis communications and developing communication strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely. Bonus for the ability to communicate in traditional Chinese and/or Cantonese
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver highquality work under tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a global matrixed organisation is a plus.
- Has prior experience in one or more of these markets: Malaysia Singapore Hong Kong Taiwan Philippines Indonesia.
- Ability to work independently in hybrid/remote settings with a regional team
- Proficiency in GSuite media monitoring tools and basic data analysis
Additional Information :
- Open to consider candidate that work remotely outside of Klang Valley yet to still based in Malaysia
