Are you a passionate and innovative Teacher of Resistant Materials with a desire to inspire students to design create and innovate using resistant materials We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our thriving D&T department in a forwardthinking academy in Hillingdon.

About the D&T Department:
The Design & Technology department is a collaborative and inspiring team with a shared commitment to fostering students creativity innovation and practical skills. We offer a rich and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of D&T specialisms including resistant materials product design electronics and textiles. We have wellequipped workshops and studios with access to the latest technologies and resources.
About the Role:
- Teach Resistant Materials across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Guide and support students in using a range of tools equipment and materials to design and create products.
- Encourage students to apply their knowledge of design principles materials and manufacturing processes to solve realworld problems.
- Assess student progress set targets and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the departments curriculum development and resource creation ensuring that our Resistant Materials curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
- Foster a love of Design & Technology in students encouraging them to explore their creativity develop their practical skills and become innovative problemsolvers.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in D&T education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Resistant Materials.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching D&T and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for D&T.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
