Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager (Structural Engineering)

Location:

  • Primary: Los Angeles CA 2 positions available)
  • Secondary: San Diego CA 1 position available)

Relocation: Open for the right candidate

Work Schedule: Monday Friday (inoffice) with WorkfromHome (WFH) on Fridays

Employment Type: Fulltime

Role Overview:

This role is critical in managing and leading largescale Type I structural projects across various sectors including commercial healthcare education residential hospitality and aviation.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and BIM designers managing project schedules and budgets and collaborating with architects contractors and consultants. This role offers significant opportunities for career growth including a partnership track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
  • Supervise project teams (engineers BIM designers) and ensure successful project .
  • Work closely with architects contractors and clients to deliver costeffective innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes seismic regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct technical design and detailing for largescale structures.
  • Oversee project scheduling budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and actively pursue new business opportunities.

MustHave Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience (as close as possible).
  • SE License: Required.
  • Education: Masters degree or higher in Structural Engineering (U.S. university required).

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in Type I construction (steel and concrete structures).
  • Experience with groundup construction 6070 and renovations 3040.
  • Familiarity with Mission Critical Facilities.
  • Proven ability to manage largescale structural projects.
  • Leadership & Client Management:
  • Ability to act as a strong decisive leader and manage a team of engineers and designers.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects and maintaining client relationships.

NicetoHave Qualifications:

  • Experience working with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD.
  • Experience in seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings using ASCE 41.
