The Company
A global financial institution is looking for a Front Office Tech Lead to drive its digital transformation in Asia. This organization is committed to modernizing its trading infrastructure leveraging cuttingedge technology to enhance efficiency and performance across capital markets.
The Team
You will lead a team of developers across Hong Kong Tokyo and Singapore focusing on transitioning legacy VBA Excel tools to Python and Reactbased solutions. The team works on fixed income equity and nonlinear rate desks ensuring seamless system integration while maintaining business continuity.
The Role
- Lead a team of 5 developers across multiple locations.
- Oversee the migration from VBA Excel tools to modern Python and React.js frameworks.
- Drive the adoption of a new global xasset Python hosting platform in Asia.
- Collaborate with European teams to develop and customize the platform.
- Promote AIassisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) to enhance coding efficiency.
- Communicate with business and IT stakeholders to align on project goals and .
The Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in frontoffice development within capital markets.
- Expertise in Python and React.js for API development and software solutions.
- Background in VBA Excel with the ability to modernize and migrate legacy systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) is a plus.
- Strong leadership and project management skills in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Mandarin/French is a plus).
