Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Residential Care Worker on a 2month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 14.58 17.84 per hour
Summary:
Plymouth City Council is seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officers to support individuals in a residential care setting. This role involves delivering highquality care and support to vulnerable individuals ensuring their wellbeing dignity and independence. As a Residential Care Officer you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents by providing personal care emotional support and promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks including washing dressing and toileting.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Administer medication following care plans and council policies.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a residential care or support role is desirable but not essential.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures in a care setting.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an enhanced DBS
