The Director of Strategic plays a pivotal role in driving the delivery of strategic priorities through the KordaMentha Implementation Services (formerly AML Ops). This includes our AML Managed Service the Financial Crime Training Academy and other aligned offerings. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Managing Director this position will focus on launching new services optimising business models and strengthening client and strategic stakeholder relationships to achieve organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the gotomarket strategy for AML Ops managed service in New Zealand and Australia and support the development of the Australian Tranche Two service offering.
- Business Optimization: Optimize the business model for efficiency and scalability and enhance lead generation and sales strategies in collaboration with the Sales Director (AU) and KordaMentha leaders.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide comprehensive business updates including financial client and operational reporting. Prepare forecasts budgets and market segment analyses for targeted opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as 2IC to the Managing Director for strategic priorities. Build and maintain strong client relationships focusing on New Zealand clients and Australian Tranche Two prospects. Engage with internal stakeholders and external thirdparty suppliers and potential partners.
- Sales and Proposals: Collaborate with the Managing Director and General Manager to convert leads into proposals pricing and contracting agreements.
- Representation and Partnerships: Represent the company at conferences and industry events to build brand awareness and foster external partnerships. Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and alignment with strategic goals.
Qualifications :
This role demands a proactive strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate highlevel goals into actionable outcomes ensuring the companys continued growth and success in competitive markets.
- Strong understanding of the Australian AML/CTF legislative landscape (evidenced through qualifications experience or roles)
- Strategic leadership and capability with an ability to multitask prioritise and communicate effectively. Ability to demonstrate the successful implementation of complex projects (strong preference for AML/CTF technology focused).
- Strong financial and operational management skills with proficiency in relevant reporting and data analysis tools and software
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Examples of experience aligning cross functional teams/multi stakeholder projects desired
- Proficient in business development and client relationship management. Demonstrated experience 10 years) working with/for key AML/CTF vendors or service providers
