Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic Sterilising (CSSD) Technicians in a casual capacity reporting to the CSSD Manager. You will join a wellsupported dedicated and busy CSSD workforce that will expand your skills and experience. A supportive and comprehensive orientation program will support your transition into this role. At Epworth we perform a wide range of complex surgeries across all specialities. The recent introduction of the TDoc instrument tracking system will assist you in your everyday practise to identify robotic navigational and complex custommade instrumentation.
To be successful in this role:
- You are flexible to work across various shifts are highly motivated with good problemsolving skills with an ability to adapt and embrace constant changes within a working environment.
You will have:
- Certificate III in Sterilisation or equivalent preferably
- Sound understanding and knowledge of infection control requirements and Australian Sterilising Standard (AS5369:2023
- Excellent team work skills with ability to work collaboratively within a busy team with changing priorities and work demands
- Outstanding customer services skills with ability to build close working relationships within the CSSD team the operating theatres and other key areas
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
- Ability to use computer systems
- High level of understanding of OHS with good manual handling techniques and basic level chemical safety within the sterilising services
- An understanding of and commitment to quality improvements

The annual salary range for Instrument Technicians AUD $59256 $68561 super entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for parttime).
