Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to take ownership of managing our commercial operations function concentrating on ensuring efficient delivery and improvement on BAU processes that enable the successful operation of the commercial function. The role will report to the Commercial Scalability and Operations Manager. In this role you will work across all functions within commercial including Sales Marketing Revenue Operations Deal Sales Enablement Commercial Legal and M&A. You will be responsible for owning managing and executing BusinessAs Usual processes across the operations team and driving incremental improvements (in systems processes and policies). The role includes managing a team of staff members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • 6 years of Building and managing a hybrid operations delivery model involving local and offshore resource capacity systems enablers governance structures and KPI reporting for all key commercial functions.  
  • Managing the daytoday activities of the commercial operations team driving commercialled initiatives and supporting broader company initiatives involving or impacting the commercial function
  • Managing the finances of the function including budgeting forecasting and monthly spend for commercial OPEX and remuneration planning and management spanning salary changes bonus and commissions plans & payments processes.
  • Commercial headcount management including all processes relating to commercial Recruitment Joiners and Leavers.
  • Technology enablement management including managing the internal commercial systems team and working with central Business Systems teams to deliver new and changed capabilities to support operations evolution and automation.
  • of and delivery of continuous improvement in (i) commercial contracts processing (ii) data quality across our key systems of record (iii) range extent and value add of our KPI reporting and insights analysis (iv) measurement and value add of our Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) processes and (v) automation of operational activities.
  • of effective Governance and Operational cadence
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Commercial personnel and broader business functions for adhoc information and support requests as needed.

Qualifications :

We are seeking Manager level applicants with demonstrable experience of working in similar/related role(s). Experience of Commercial Operations in a similar organisation with good knowledge of Technology services & Consultancy exposure would be highly desirable/preferable (for a deeper appreciation of our IT Services/transformation expertise) but the role doesnt require any technical skills per se its about managing and scaling the operations of the sales team.

  • Capability to manage both ongoing BusinessAsUsual operational activities as well as a range of parallel projects driving change in those operations.
  • Possess attributes including an ability to multitask effectively to work at both a detailed and macro level and to work effectively in an environment where both planned and unplanned activities arise on a daily basis.
  • Have excellent planning and organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and manage large volumes of work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and influencing skills are required for working with a range of stakeholders across the commercial function and across the broader business.  
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office productivity tools in particular PowerPoint and Excel including an ability to work with large complex datasets.
  • Is highly discrete with sensitive information.
  • Some experience working with SaaS applications MS Dynamics 365 DocuSign CLM and Kimble Apps (aka Kantana) and with reporting & visualisation tools including PowerBI would be beneficial.
