Job Description
Position: GSP Telco Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Dallas Houston Tulsa TX
Employment Type: Contract C2C
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled GSP Telco Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for deploying maintaining and troubleshooting telecom power fiber optics and networking infrastructure across multiple data center locations. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Install rack stack and configure telecom equipment and servers.

Manage cabling (fiber and copper) installations terminations and testing.

Deploy and maintain DC power systems rectifiers and battery backups.

Perform fiber optic splicing testing and troubleshooting.

Ensure proper network connectivity including crossconnects and carrier services.

Collaborate with network engineers to optimize data flow and troubleshoot outages.

Conduct regular infrastructure inspections to identify potential issues.

Perform hardware diagnostics repairs and replacements as needed.

Respond to infrastructure incidents minimizing downtime and ensuring rapid resolution.

Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure layouts cable maps and equipment configurations.

Follow industry standards safety guidelines and company policies.

Assist in audits and capacity planning for future infrastructure expansions.
Required Skills:

Proven experience in telecom data center or infrastructure engineering roles.

Strong knowledge of fiber optics cabling standards and network topologies.

Familiarity with DC power systems grounding and electrical safety practices.

Ability to interpret schematics blueprints and technical documentation.

Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.

Willingness to travel between data center sites as needed.
