Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Scrum Master Agile (IT)

Location: Denver CO

Duration: 6 months

No H1B

Local to Denver is highly preferred but remote from anywhere is OK too.

510 years scrum master experience

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Describe the primary purpose or scope of the job. What must be accomplished and why is it performed.

The Sr. Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating team level agile processes and release train around requirements definition scope and delivery. The Sr. Scrum Master must resolve team level impediments manage risk and drive continuous improvement throughout the delivery teams and lifecycle. The Sr. Scrum Master has an expert level understanding of agile scrum and kanban principles and practices and understands the unique opportunities and challenges associated with organizing facilitating and continuously aligning the scrum team with the guiding business strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In order of significance list the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and the typical of time spent performing them. List only duties with a 5 of Time allocation or greater. All other duties are accounted for in Other Duties as Assigned which must remain on all Job Descriptions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

OF TIME

1.

Works with product management product owners and business owners to help assure alignment for scrum teams.

Facilitates agile scrum team and feature completion tracking for 23 scrum teams.

3.

Arrange and facilitate daily standup meetings sprint planning story grooming and demo/retro. Ensure quick inspection and proper use of agile process.

Helps manage risk and dependencies.

5.

Create modify publish and leverage standardized Agile Metrics to facilitate continuous improvement on the Scrum Team.

6.

Work with multiple inhouse and external Scrum teams enterprisewide to remove impediments and manage dependencies.

Provide coaching on agile practices and methods for assigned as well as other scrum teams.

Other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE EDUCATION TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS

Describe any specific or preferred education and experience criteria (i.e. Bachelors Degree preferred or Management experience required)

510 years of experience as a scrum master

Required Preferred

510 years of experience leading technical and nontechnical teams in an agile environment

Required Preferred

Extensive experience in managing multiple scrum teams.

Required Preferred

Strong manager collaborator and servant leader.

Required Preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or appropriate combination of education and experience in essential duties and responsibilities.

Required Preferred

Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Required Preferred

Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.

Required Preferred

Advanced Understanding of ITIL framework
