About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate creative and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our vibrant English Department at a prestigious independent school. As an English Teacher you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire students from KS3 to KS5 fostering a love for literature language and writing. You will engage students through dynamic and thoughtprovoking lessons encouraging critical thinking creativity and selfexpression while nurturing their academic and personal growth in the arts of language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver captivating English lessons to students across KS3 to KS5 promoting a love for literature language and effective communication.
- Develop and teach a broad and engaging curriculum that fosters a deep appreciation for reading writing and literary analysis.
- Assess student progress providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their best potential in English studies.
- Encourage students to explore different literary genres authors and writing techniques to enhance their understanding and appreciation of English literature.
- Support the development and growth of the English Department contributing ideas for curriculum improvements and extracurricular activities.
- Create a welcoming inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves confidently and develop their writing and analytical skills.

About You:
To be considered for this role you will need:
- A degree in English English Literature or a related subject.
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience teaching English across KS3 to KS5 with a passion for cultivating students love for literature and language.
- Strong communication organisational and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to providing an inspiring and enriching educational experience in a supportive independent school environment.
