JD IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Job Summary:
We are seeking for a skilled IT Hardware & Networking Specialist to join our team. In this role you will
be responsible for the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of all hardware and networking
systems within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and
experience with a range of IT hardware networking equipment and network security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Installation & Maintenance:
o Install configure and maintain desktop computers servers printers and other IT
peripherals.
o Ensure all hardware is operational and performs regular checks to prevent failures or
downtime.
o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues in a timely manner.
o Perform hardware upgrades and replacements as required.
Network Administration:
o Configure and maintain local area networks (LAN) wide area networks (WAN) and
wireless networks.
o Install and configure networking equipment such as routers switches firewalls and
wireless access points.
o Ensure network connectivity and troubleshoot issues related to performance or
connectivity.
System Security:
o Implement and manage network security protocols including firewalls encryption and
VPNs.
o Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and address potential security risks.
o Maintain antivirus software and other security tools to protect against malware and
unauthorized access.
CCTV Installation:
Install configure and set up CCTV cameras recorders and other related equipment.
Set up wiring and connections for both analog and IPbased surveillance systems.
Ensure proper camera placement for optimal coverage and system performance.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of CCTV systems to ensure all equipment is
functioning properly.
Troubleshoot and repair faulty CCTV equipment including cameras DVRs/NVRs monitors and
other components.
Test and calibrate systems to ensure that they meet operational and security standards.
System Integration:
Integrate CCTV systems with other security systems (e.g. alarm systems access control) as
needed.
Configure remote viewing and control features allowing users to access footage via mobile apps
or PC interfaces.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members regarding CCTV system usage
configurations and troubleshooting.
Respond to service requests handle department manager inquiries and resolve any system
related issues in a timely manner.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure that all CCTV systems are compliant with local and national regulations related to data
privacy and surveillance.
Perform system updates and ensure proper data storage and archiving protocols are followed.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of CCTV system installations maintenance repairs and user interactions.
Prepare reports on system performance maintenance schedules and any issues encountered.
Training (if applicable):
Provide training to team members on the proper use and maintenance of CCTV systems.
Offer guidance on how to retrieve and view recorded footage and set up user access levels.
Troubleshooting & Support:
o Provide technical support to employees both remotely and onsite for hardware and
network issues.
o Diagnose and resolve network and hardwarerelated problems promptly.
o Maintain a log of issues and resolutions for future reference.
Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware and software.
o Document system configurations network diagrams and other technical resources.
o Report on hardware performance system issues and network uptime to management.
Upgrades & Improvements:
o Stay up to date with the latest hardware and networking technologies.
o Propose improvements to the network and hardware systems based on current and
future needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Requirements:
o A bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Networking or a
related field
Experience:
o At least 5 years of experience in IT hardware support networking or related fields.
o Handson experience with hardware components and network troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of network topologies routing protocols and IP addressing.
o Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Linux macOS) and network management
tools.
o Experience with network equipment (routers switches firewalls etc.) and wireless
solutions.
Soft Skills:
o Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
o Good communication skills to work with internal teams and endusers.
o Attention to detail and ability to follow processes and document work effectively.
