Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Oversight and managerial responsibility for of all aspects of operations of company inclusive of companys Global Resource Centre (GRC) located in Penang.
- Reporting to the Global Chief Operating Officer liaise as the responsible leader between companys regional operations and GRC team leads to implement and execute effective operating practices and procedures.
- Leadership of a growing team with responsibility for recruitment performance management and culture.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and Human Resource Executive to develop alignment in staffing operational efficiency and team development. Develop strategies to foster and enhance culture engagement and retention.
- Responsibility for key performance metrics for company (inclusive KPI setting communication and regular reporting to the company team and global executive).
- Support the internal finance team and external advisers to ensure company maintains compliance with all regulatory legal and governance requirements.
Role requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in freight forwarding logistics transport or similar industry working in operational and managerial / team leadership roles.
- Leadership experience working in large teams (50 people) in a cross functional environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large team and willingness to coach and mentor team members to develop a highperformance culture.
- Strong leadership capability with exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with sophisticated global ERP environments preferably CargoWise.
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously with experience reporting to a global head office.
