Job Description
BESIX is seeking a proactive and detailoriented Equipment Planner to join our Equipment Support & Service department in the BelgiumLuxembourg region. The Equipment Planner will play a crucial role in identifying and managing equipment needs across construction projects ensuring seamless integration with project planning and coordination among multiple stakeholders. This role requires strong communication skills to proactively gather input from sites analyze relevant information from different sources and assertively engage with stakeholders to ensure an efficient and wellinformed planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams (startup and ongoing projects) to assess and identify equipment needs for various construction activities.
Develop and maintain short and longterm equipment planning schedules ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Proactively search for and gather necessary input from construction sites ensuring accurate and uptodate planning.
Regularly update and follow up on equipment planning integrating updates into overall project schedules.
Ensure coordination between construction sites stakeholders and equipment plants to optimize equipment availability and utilization.
Identify investment needs and opportunities for equipment procurement to enhance operational efficiency.
Incorporate equipment planning into overall project planning ensuring seamless interaction and coordination.
Utilize planning tools and methodologies (Primavera MS Project LEAN) to effectively manage equipment schedules and resources.
Assertively reach out to all stakeholders and colleagues to share and provide the necessary information for effective planning.
Qualifications :
Strong general knowledge of construction sites operations and specialized equipment particularly in building civil and infrastructure works.
Solid experience in equipment planning logistics or related fields within the construction industry.
Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera MS Project and LEAN methodologies.
Excellent coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to optimize equipment utilization and planning.
Highly communicative and proactive approach to information gathering and sharing.
Assertive in engaging with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure efficient decisionmaking.
