The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Software Engineer I Payex to help develop and optimize Flywires Payex (Payments & Expense Management) platform ensuring seamless financial transaction processing and compliance with global payment standards. This role will focus on building scalable payment workflows integrating with financial partners and enhancing reconciliation systems. The ideal candidate is an entrylevel software engineer with strong backend development skills an interest in fintech and a willingness to learn in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain secure highperformance APIs for Flywires Payex platform enabling seamless payment processing and expense management.
- Integrate Flywires system with banking networks payment providers and ERP systems to enhance financial operations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers product managers and finance teams to improve system efficiency and resolve paymentrelated issues.
- Write clean welldocumented and scalable code following best practices in software development.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging financial transaction workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to maintain system stability and deployment efficiency.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in payment technologies financial security and compliance regulations.

What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a motivated junior software engineer with an interest in backend development payments and financial technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering or a related field.
- 02 years of experience in software development preferably in fintech payments or financial services.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java Python JavaScript (Node.js) or Go.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs webhooks and microservices architectures.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and ability to write optimized queries.
- Basic understanding of payment processing financial transactions and reconciliation workflows.
- Exposure to cloudbased development (AWS GCP or Azure) and CI/CD tools.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to debug and optimize backend applications.
- Ability to work in a collaborative fastpaced and remotefirst environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
