Reliability Analysis and Failure Prevention
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA): Conduct FMEA to identify potential failure modes of systems or components and assess their impact on operations. Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead or support investigations into equipment failures or system breakdowns, identify the root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Reliability Testing: Design and implement reliability testing programs, including accelerated life testing and stress testing, to simulate and measure system performance under various conditions.
Predictive and Preventive Maintenance: Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs using techniques such as condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and thermal imaging to predict failures before they occur.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in EMT studies.
Strong understanding of HVDC systems, dynamic stability, protection systems, and power exchange assessments.
Proficiency in PSS/E to perform all kinds of studies including advanced studies such as dynamic studies.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in modeling and network.

Maintenance Strategy Development
Maintenance Optimization: Evaluate and recommend the best maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, to improve asset reliability and minimize operational costs.
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with maintenance teams to plan and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and reducing unplanned downtime.
Performance Monitoring: Use reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) approaches to monitor equipment performance and improve the operational life of critical systems.
. Data Analysis and Reporting
Reliability Data Collection: Gather and analyze data from systems, machines, and components to track performance trends and failure rates. Ensure that data is accurately recorded and accessible for decision-making.
Failure Analysis and Reporting: Create detailed reports on failures, downtime events, and reliability metrics. Present findings to management, highlighting potential risks and improvement opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define and track relevant KPIs such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Availability, and Failure Rates to assess system reliability and performance.
