We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team where you will play a key role in field and engineering activities related to municipal and commercial projects. This position requires handson fieldwork technical expertise and client interaction to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to project sites and meetings as required.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations including boring layouts utility clearance and supervising drill rig operations.
- Perform and oversee engineering tasks related to the design construction and operation of municipal and commercial projects.
- Assist in defining project scope planning team tasks and adjusting as needed to meet project goals.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and other departments.
- Assign resources and coordinate work among engineers technicians and subcontractors.
- Manage client interactions including scheduling resolving issues and overseeing invoicing.
- Prepare technical reports specifications and presentations; obtain necessary client and agency approvals.
- Assist in hiring training and mentoring new and existing engineers technicians and staff.
- Support business development efforts by identifying potential market opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or ability to obtain within six months.
- Minimum three years of project experience in soil mechanics foundation design pavement design and slope stability.
- Familiarity with ASTM test methods.
- Strong analytical mathematical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to apply engineering concepts to realworld situations.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and general computer applications.
- Ability to analyze project specifications to determine testing and procedural requirements.
- Understanding of technical procedures and governmental regulations.
