Tasks
What will you do as Software Engineer
You will work in a dynamic team where innovation and sustainability are key. As a Software Engineer at UMS you will contribute to the design development and maintenance of software applications that support our mission. Your responsibilities are:
- Design and develop highquality software applications according to industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop solutions that meet business requirements.
- Writing clean efficient and welldocumented code.
- Perform unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development process.
- Continue to learn and apply new trends and technologies within software engineering.
- Who are you and what do we ask of you as Software Engineer
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Experience in development & engineering (preferred).
- Solid background in automotive or similar sectors with an interest in EV drivelines heavy trucks or subsystems.
- Experience with software/hardware integration and system integration within EV systems.
- Familiarity with CAN communication C/C CodeSys embedded software and Matlab Simulink.
- Basic knowledge of ISO26262 EOBD J1939 or vehicle dynamics is a plus.
- Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus).
- Good social and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for innovation and flexibility to embrace new technologies.
